2012 Great Futures Campaign
For many families in our community, access to after school and summer programs is not financially possible. This leaves large numbers of children spending their out of school hours alone--with little or no adult supervision or interaction. At the Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls, we want to meet this need and are committed to making programs available to all children who need us, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. This commitment is evidenced by our membership scholarship program that provides free access to children with a financial need.
Our goal for the 2012 Great Futures Campaign is to raise funds to provide 1,000 children with membership scholarships. This means these children will have a safe place to go each weekday afternoon throughout the school year and the summer. For only $60, you can give a child the opportunity to attend the Club and participate in organized activities for one full year.
The character building programs offered at the Boys & Girls Club really do make a difference. To a child looking for direction and guidance, our programs can mean the difference in a fulfilled life as an adult and a life marred by repercussions from poor choices made as a young person.
We know that it takes just one caring adult to make a lasting difference in the life of a child.
100% of the funds raised through our Great Futures Campaign will be used to provide membership scholarships to children from disadvantaged financial circumstances.
About the Boys & Girls Club of Fayetteville
Every successful and fulfilled person had someone who helped him or her get on the right path. The Club provides the opportunity for every child to receive the guidance they need to make the right choices in life. Every day, the Club provides a wealth of programs and activities to prepare young people for real-world successes. By focusing on academics, health and fitness, and leadership and service, the children we serve will be better prepared to graduate high school and thrive as adults, contributing to their communities and to their nation.
The Boys & Girls Club of Fayetteville could not offer quality programs without the support of 100’s of volunteers and financial contributors. You have the opportunity to positively impact the life of a child by joining us in our mission to meet the needs of the youth in our community on a daily basis.
